Email response to Mini golf
I wrote a lengthy email to the place the wife and I played mini golf at. I didn't just complain but gave ideas. I received a canned response from the General Manager today:
It is our objective, at (put put golf), for every guest to have an enjoyable visit in a safe and friendly environment. I am appreciative when guests, like you, take the time to share their experience and suggestions with me. This information assists me in evaluating and improving our operation. I am disappointed that we failed to meet your expectations and hope your next visit be more enjoyable. Regards, G.M so and so.
Sad thing...my note went right in the trash. Oh well. I'll never go back!

Put Put
So the wife and I were privileged to have grandma babysit tonight. We went out to our favorite hole in the wall for food and then played miniature golf. Haven't done that in years.
Our put put place in town, doesn't look like this ---^ is almost a mini Disneyland. You pay $6. to park. Almost $30 to get in and then $8 per person per game of golf. We still aren't sure if the golfers have to pay for park admission because we accidentally snuck in a fire door that used to be the entrance but we didn't know it had changed.
This place was so ghetto. I even had to ask an employee how to get to the exit so we could leave. To top it off. The lady I paid to miniature golf asked if we had our own pencils. The wife and I kinda laughed then realized she wasn't joking. She then explained that people aren't returning pencils and thus she has to pull from the arcade wining pencils shelves and cut them with regular scissors into smaller pieces. I'm still not sure how she did it.
So, when we left....after being directed to the exit, I asked for a comment card. The late teens girl says, "whats that?" I'll have to do some digging to complement management on torn turf, cobwebs and employees cutting full sized pencils into mini ones because they don't have enough for the $8. a game put put.

See I like to ruffle feathers
Today, one of my bosses --a bi-polar famale one at that-- pulled me aside and questioned me about responding to a call (guys with high powered rifles in the hills behind a house) when she had specificially cancelled me.
I told her, when she asked for a K-9, the armored car and a helicopter that I responded to the area approx. 4 blks away from the incident just in case.
She told me it bothered her that I responded after being told not to and leaving my zone, which borders this area. She added that had I been needed for assistance from others in my assigned area, I would have have an extended ETA.
She was right in her assumptions. I didn't obey her stay away order when resources were being called for and I would have had an extended ETA had I been called. Let me add for my case. My zone parter was 10-8 (available) and there were no pending calls in my zone.

So, see I am a bothersom employee. I cause all kinds of heartache to my bosses because I like to work and I like to back up my boys.

I awoke this morning to find an email from the Staples Center. I had NOT won tickets to Michael Jackson's tribute.
Don't worry, I could care less about that slime ball. Just wished I could win to either sell them or just not go and that would be an empty seat. haa haa.

Day 4
I got to the end of day 4, losing 5 pounds so far, but I'm breaking the fast for the evening to have a dinner with the wife ----without kids. Then back to the grind.

Hunger vs. Catching the bad guys
So, I'm doing it. Decided to start the "Daniel Fast" today. It's kind of a diet starter or a detox idea for me, so I said why not start with something from the bible. (Daniel 10:2,3)
I'm a meat and potatos kind of guy and I'm not a fan of fruits and vegies (which explains why I'm a plump cop but not a FAT cop) so this won't be easy.

More to it.
Didn't get in trouble (how could I have when I was right) and although I was the topic of everyones conversation, I didn't hear too much about it today.
